The use of spaceframes in residential applications is limited in practice. Only the most unique and creative homes might employ the exciting, high visibility architectural system that CST designs and builds. The residence used an Omni*Hub Type A spaceframe arch.

Omni*Hub Type A consists of a rectangular upper chord to allow for a perfect seat for the glass, eliminating the need for a second structural component. 36 insulated glass lites complete this unique enclosure for the residence. One of the benefits of the use of the CST framework is that the structure was completely glazed on the ground and lifted into place. The structure was designed to support the resident’s Chihuly glass sculpture.
