The dome roof system includes a multi-faceted insulated ceiling consisting of white vinyl-faced fiberglass panels. The pyramid-shaped panels provide a U-value of .035 and create an aesthetically unique ceiling designed to minimize sound focusing and provide optical interior acoustics.

The dome is supported off of 45-foot high concrete wall and is engineered for a snow load of 40 psf, plus the suspended weight of catwalks, air ducts, a speaker pod and the arena lighting fixtures. The 8,100-seat multi-purpose dome arena was originally built in 1989 and in 1996 they added additional seats.
