CST’s 170′ (51.8 meter) diameter dome is a unique dome enclosure that it is a replacement dome suspended one foot inside the original Climatron Dome built in the 1960’s by Bucky Fuller. The dome supports a glass glazing system with each triangular panel divided into 2 lites of glass.

The dome creates a beautiful and educational environment which educates students and visitors on the rain forest fauna in St. Louis. The original dome framework was left standing and sits independently outside of the new dome to maintain the original design look.
