Aquastore Field Day 2018
05/8/2018 – Kansas City, MO – CST’s DeKalb, Illinois factory welcomed more than 225 distinguished guests during the annual Aquastore Field Day Open House on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Held at 345 Harvestore Drive in DeKalb, Illinois, the 500,000 square foot ISO 9001 certified facility produces Aquastore® glass-fused-to-steel storage tanks along with Harvestore® and Slurrystore® tanks, and Harvestore® XL Unloaders.
The event was hosted by CST and CST’s Authorized Dealer Network to showcase the production of Aquastore glass-fused-to-steel storage tanks. Aquastore offers the only process in the world that provides optimum glass encapsulation on all (4) sides of the tank sheet edges, Edgecoat II™, and Vitrium™ Ti02 technology. CST’s welcomed guest came from around the world that included both large and small engineering firms, service districts, water companies, utility agencies, as well as private users and owners of Aquastore® glass-fused-to-steel tanks.

“The tour consisted of seventeen (17) stations with CST employee and dealer presenters describing each process that goes into an Aquastore tank. Guests were served breakfast and lunch with door prizes drawn before their departure. Visitors were able to see first-hand the CST facility on a special plant tour which demonstrated the process and quality of Aquastore’s glass-fused-to-steel technology.
“We would like to thank ours dedicated employees and dealers who made this event such a success.” We had a 27% increase in attendance from our event just last September of 2017, says Tim Carpenter, CEO and President of CST. We thrive on the opportunity to showcase our products and our people. We have been manufacturing glass for almost 70 years and are leading the market with experience and technology with our glass-fused-to-steel storage tanks.

When asked what impressed them the most, visitors commented: “Welding facility and lab, overall impressed with staff commitment to quality,” “knowledge and satisfaction of employees,” “all presenters were knowledgeable and take pride in the work,” and “the overall efficiency of the plant.” Overall, the event was a huge success.
