The world’s largest clear-span aluminum dome houses more than 135,000 square feet of permanent and temporary exhibit space as well as a special events center which can accommodate up to 3,500 people. The 145-foot diameter CST aluminum dome rises 130-feet above grade.

The exterior is covered in maintenance-free fluorpolymer paint. The interior is treated with a dark colored thermal/acoustical fiberglass insulation. The dome was originally designed to house the Spruce Goose and Howard Hughes memorabilia from 1982 to 1992 and is currently in use as a sound studio for movie production.
